this sounds like amazing news in new hampshire. this is such an interesting question, the question of throw- choice women in this election. -- of pro-choice women in this election. we have seen the democrats around august start remembering their most reliable base is pro- choice women, and they start talking about the threat to women's rights. we did see some of that. no question, we saw a democratic convention. with some of the insane comments coming from the republican side about legitimate rape and so forth. for republicans, and life begins at a rate, that is the feeling, but it is true this administration has done tremendous change for women's rights, not just for reproduction, but also for the pay act right down to contraceptive coverage and health care reform. there have been some real advances for women under barack obama. there have been some setbacks, too. we saw that most women wanted around single payer and reproductive choices and a variety of sorts was -- >> catholic women. >> that includes catholic women. the democrat

one of the highest spots in new england. 6,000 feet in new hampshire. there's a weather observatory where they do 24 hour weather observations and they have these amazing images of the northern lights. it was a great show from michigan all the way through vermont and maine. this image captured it well. as far as what's going on out there, not much. nice quiet weather period across the country. another chilly start in the 30s for many people, even the 40s in the deep south. it's a cold, dry air mass pretty much covering much of the nation. doesn't have a lot of tropical origins to it. it's a polar air mass. the only area of rain that we have is down here in the southeast. it's a pretty good solid shield of light rain, even lightening strikes from georgia into south carolina. now trying to go up to wilmington and areas of charlot charlotte. those are the areas that need an umbrella. a nice afternoon from denver all the way to the east coast. that's a look at your national forecast. now here's a look at the weather outside your window. temperatures today i

washington in new hampshire. this is the northern lights. one of the best shows that we've seen in a long time in the northern half of our country with clear skies. how beautiful and gorgeous is that? it lasted a long time. it was through much of last night. last night going 24 hours ago. as far as today, a nice chilly morning. there is not a lot of bad weather to be concerned with. temperature in the 30s and 40s in most cases. the only bad weather we're going to have for our morning drive, much of south carolina is dealing with rain. it is actually clearing out of georgia just from areas right around savannah up to charleston. you'll also have to bring the m imbrela. that is the only story on the ma'am. the rest of the country is cool with high pressure dominating and storm free. so areas of rain to be concerned with as far as cities go, charlotte, north carolina had some rain out. there columbia looks like you're going to get rain, too. augusta, you're clearing out. showers hit and miss throughout the morning hours from myrtle beach north
